Total Look Salon Incorporated

I like this salon because they carry Halo, one of my favorite products. The staff is very nice and they sometimes give free samples of new products. I've also noticed their products in the store are about the same price as in CVS and other stores. The salon is clean and decorated nicely. The only negative is they are kinda expensive. (Basic cuts $30-35) However, the staff is very talented and nice.

I recently had my hair done at Total Look Salon and was very pleased with the whole experience. I was very impressed at the way the staff seemed to really have a good time doing their job and how well they got along with each other, very different from other salons I've been in. I also was very pleased with my hair. I got what I asked for and my stylist was very helpful in educating me on how to get the same result at home, which until now rarely ever happened. I would highly recommend the salon.

Total Look was my third attempt at finding a good cut after moving to Jacksonville over three years ago. I have been going in ever since. A good group of people, pleasant atmosphere, and a good cut.

I was looking for a change so my daughter suggested I go to her salon for a haircut. I live in S. Fl so it is was a 5 hour drive to have the cut done. When I got there the stylist stated that she had forgotten that my appt had been changed (?) to 1:30 & she had a 2:00 appt coming in so we needed to get going. I was not aware of any appt change & immed offered to re-sched as I was a little nervous about a 30 minute cut & style. None the less,the stylist asked a few questions & got started. One of the questions asked was what my normal routine was in the morning. I was clear to state that I only blew dry my hair which usually takes apx 7 minutes as I leave for work @ 7:00am. As the stylist blew dry my hair she was using a round brush to also curl it. Since I knew this is something that I did not have time for nor was I very good at, I did question how the cut would look with just blow drying it (with box layers) & was told it would be fine. I spent the next 2 days in Jax & struggled both mornings to get my hair to look right. I had very little luck & was very frustrated. Back at home is S FL on Monday morning as I got ready for work, the hair disaster only got worse. Now the ends of my hair were dry & frizzy from all the blow drying & attempts @ using a round brush to curl it.
After my comment to my husband about feeling like an ugly duckling he apparently called the stylist & had her call me at work in S Fl. She offered to fix the problem had I been in Jax, but since I was not there was not much she could do. She offered the names of some hair conditioners & then made a profound statement. There are two types of people, those who can style hair & those who can't With this said, I now not only felt like an ugly duckling, but now I felt like the only woman who was such an idiot that I could not do my own hair. I have been to a few of the stylists at Total Look and I have never been disappointed with my color or cut. Always friendly and welcoming when I have been there as well!

CONS: Kinda pricey
