Mossfire Grill

One of the best places in Jax. Great food, fun atmosphere. Several great choices for vegetarians. My favorites thus far are the gouda and onion quesadilla and the chile fried plantains (note they are not kidding when they say the mango salsa is hot!!) Other good choices are the vegetarian sandwich / burrito and choices of veg chile or veg beans and rice. My seafood-loving friends have enjoyed their items as well, especially the tuna tacos. Great margaritas too! A winner for sure.

Try the "jerk" style burrito if you like spicy food. The steak burrito and tacos are really good. They have good choices on the kids menu.

Definately a step up from strip mall restaurants, recently had Pork Loin with cherry sauce, and black beans and rice (which were pretty spicy) - buddy had Fajita Burito (it was HUGE) - both were very good!

Maybe the best fish tacos in Florida. Mossfire has a very diverse menu for a "Southwest" themed restaurant. I love the plantain chips, too. If you are dining, ask to sit out back in the screened in porch. If you are there for drinks, try upstairs. Outside on the deck or in the "loft" area.

I finally made it to Mossfire grill. Been reading raves about it forever. My food was fine, not great, sat outside, ok view, hodge podge of a building, of course this is typical for Riverside.

It's not mexican it is not fesh mex it is it's own breed and Mossfire does it right. Even my picky eater friends dig this place. Some of the faves are buffalo shrimp salad, seared ahi tuna, and the chicken empandas. There selection of tequila is insane too.
